If the following do not cover your question(s), navigate to the Contact Us tab and Submit a Query.
What software is supported by your data feeds?
We support all PrimeCharts technical analysis programs (Market Master and the various Market Explorer versions).
We also have a MetaStock, an Omega/SuperCharts/TradeStation and an ASCII data feed.
Our MetaStock feed uses the Xmaster format introduced with version 8 of MetaStock and thus we can provide data for users of MetaStock Version 8 to the current version.
Additionally, any other software package that will read the MetaStock Xmaster format will work with our data feed.
Thus we fully support such packages as Advanced GET, AMiBroker, AIQ, EzyChart, OmniTrader and many, many others.
Our Omega feed uses the Omega SuperCharts Version 4 file format and can be used with SuperCharts Version 4 and with TradeStation.
Additionally, any other software package that will read this Omega format will work with our data feed.
Our ASCII feed can be configured to use any format needed, and thus supports every program that can read ASCII data.
How do I know if your data will work with my software?
Assuming that you have software that reads one of the formats our data feed is supplied in, the easiest test
is to download a sample database and see if your software reads it - we will not charge you to do this.
If your software can read the database you downloaded, see the question 'Can I have a free trial to test your data?'.
Can I have a free trial to test your data?
Yes! There are two options available to you:
1:
Download a sample database. This enables you to see if your software is compatible with our feed.
You can also check that we are suppling the specific data items you may require.
2:
Download a sample database and set up (within 2 weeks) a trial daily data feed account. This enables you to ensure
you are happy with the manner in which we supply the daily data updates.
If at Step 1 you choose not to continue, delete what you have downloaded from us and there is no further obligation on either side.
If at Step 2 you choose not to continue, log in to the user area of our website and cancel your account (i.e. you have two weeks).
We will only start to debit you after the initial two weeks trial.
Once you have canceled, delete what you have downloaded from us, and there is no further obligation on either side.
If you wish to continue, see the question 'How do I sign up?'
How do I sign up?
Download a sample database and set up a trial daily data feed account (you will need to enter your credit card details).
After two weeks, assuming you do not cancel the trial, you will have now indicated that you are happy with the range
of data provided and the manner in which we supply the daily data updates.
We will then debit your credit card for the historic data provided, and will debit you each month for your
daily download subscription in respect of each exchange you subscribe to.
You may cancel your daily data subscription at any stage - see the question 'What is your Cancellation policy?'.
What is your Cancellation policy?
You may cancel your daily data subscription at any stage by logging into the user area of our website.
This process is intuitive, and it is your responsibility to do so.
Additionally there is a PDF Step-by-Step guide for doing so available
from the Documentation option of the Download menu of this web site.
If needed, send us an email or fill out a Contact Us request and we will send the Steps to you.
If you subscribe to more than one exchange or service, you may cancel any one, and just retain the one(s) you still require.
Do you refund the cost of the Historic database you supplied?
No!
We provided you with all that was needed to test and ensure that our data is suitable for your use at no cost.
When you sign up (and assuming you do not cancel within the initial trial period) you indicate that you
are happy with the supplied data, and thus we debit you the agreed amount. Once we have debited you, we do not refund.
Can I have a refund of my Daily Data Subscription?
No!
We provided you with all that was needed to test and ensure that our historic data and/or daily download service is suitable for your use at no cost.
When you sign up (and assuming you do not cancel within the initial trial period) you have indicated that you
are happy to use our service, and thus we will debit you the agreed amount.
When you no longer need our service, cancel it in the user area of our website, and we will not debit you again.
We provide the means for you to be debited monthly with an immediate cancellation option.
Should you rather choose to pay us via EFT for a year in advance, this will not be refunded,
neither in full nor in part, irrespective of when during the year you cease using our service.
What level of Support do you provide?
We provide guides that we customise and email to you with very easy to follow steps
(see the Documentation option of the Download menu of this web site).
In addition to these general guides, we can also provide other specific guides after ascertaining any specific problem/need you may have.
You can easily follow these guides or enlist the assistance of someone who will do so for you.
Should you (or they) need further help, just email us and we will respond back via email.
You may use the Contact Us or Request Assistance forms on this website and/or the user area of our website.
How do I cancel my trial data-feed?
Details on how to cancel the trial in the user area of our website are included when we sent the details for setting up the data-feed.
Additionally, you may obtain a copy of these steps from the Documentation option of the Download menu of this web site.
Can I use a single download to update both PrimeCharts and MetaStock software?
No!
Each of the three type of data-feeds that we provide are in different formats.
Thus you need a different data-feed for each.
However, that being the case, we only charge about 30% of the main download cost for a second or third data-feed.
See the Price Calculator option of the Data Feeds menu to get a costing
for subscribing to multiple data feed formats and/or for using the data feed on more than one computer.
Can I use a single download to update software on more than one computer?
No!
Each computers runs its own copy and downloads its own data.
